Charging Ahead - RAMJO Electric Vehicle Summit and Drive Day

The Riverina and Murray Joint Organisation and Griffith Council are thrilled to invite you to our first ever Electric Vehicle Summit and Test Drive Day at the Yoogali Club, Griffith NSW.

This event is being held over two days, with:

• Day 1 on Wednesday 5 February tailored for council staff, businesses, and key council stakeholders (this registration page), and
• Day 2 on Thursday 6 February for community members wishing to view, test drive vehicles and machinery, and engage with stall holders. 

FOR COUNCILS & BUSINESSES 

This summit will cover topics such as:

· Understanding network capacity for EV charging - Essential Energy
· Fleet transition for regional & rural councils - Lockhart Shire Council
· Funding opportunities for charging stations & overview of NSW policy direction - NSW Dept. of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water
· Opportunities & resources for councils - Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia
· EV maintenance repair, charging & vehicle to grid/building - All Energy Solutions
· A live Q&A panel discussion with our presenters.

In addition to hearing from our speakers, attendees will have the opportunity to test drive some of the most popular EVs on the market in Australia today, including the very recently released BYD Shark 6 off-road 4X4 utility, Mustang MachE, Hyundai Kona EV, and more! There will also be machinery such as electric mowers, EV Polaris (Premium), as well as a Foton 6 tonne electric tip truck.

While every effort will be made to enable test drives for everyone, practically, we may not be able to accommodate or manage these as we want to provide attendees with flexibility to listen to the presentations and explore the stalls autonomously.

If the first day isn't enough, you are also very welcome to join us the next day - when we open up the event to the general public and community.*
 
· Have a look at some electric cars and/or electric machinery for garden & lawncare
· Speak with both manufacturers and EV enthusiasts to learn about what it means to be an EV owner or lessee
· Those with valid licenses will be able to take an EV for a spin around the neighbourhood.

Quest Griffith have 2 EV charging stations on premises; both with cords attached and they are universal, Drivers just have to scan the QR code and everything will be charged to them personally. Other charging stations located nearby include a Tesla one at the Tourist Visitor Information Centre, some universal chargers at Middy's electrical, Solar Mad and Griffith Leagues Club.
