Charities Forum - For CEOs and Chairs of Charities
Description
The Charity sector is often reactive, rather than talking across practice areas and specialities to take a proactive approach.
We want to provide a place to change this by convening a Charities Forum, facilitated by Steven Moe, Partner at Parry Field Lawyers, where we will host a quarterly call to:
update the sector on developments,
learn from others across the sector, and
discuss where the research needs are and what policies could be proactively prepared and presented to local and central Government.
This will allow a voice to be heard which is currently fragmented across diverse areas under the banner of charity. The same issues often affect us all and we can learn from each other and plan for the future more proactively, to shape what the ecosystem will become.
For our first gathering on Friday 23 October, 12.00pm, we will be joined by Monica Briggs, Chief Executive Officer at Child Cancer Foundation, and Mel Smith, Chief Executive at CCS Disability Action, who will both share about their experience in this space.
The Charities Forum is open to CEOs and Chairs of charity boards. Feel free to forward this on to someone who you think may be interested.
