Chat over Chai for R U OK? Day - Online talks
Event description
Please join us in a morning of connection with our special guest Faith Lam, community care coordinator from Neami National, where we explore topics about coping with lockdown life, self care tips, mindfulness and mental health care. This is in support of R U OK? Day, inspiring us to check in with people in our life who may be struggling and how to take care of ourselves as well. Here's a few topics we will explore together:
- The R U OK? day theme this year is “Are they really OK?”: how to start conversations with people in your life who may be struggling and what to do if they say ‘no’
- Self-care: sharing tips on ‘logging off’ after work, and especially working from home, and discuss what true self-care looks like
- Mindfulness and grounding techniques and strategies to increase wellbeing
- Navigating mental health supports: how and where to find help for yourself and other
There will be a Q&A after the 30 minute talk so we can discuss and expand on these topics together.
We hope to see you there over a chai or any beverage or snack that sweetens your morning!
