Experience a century of music as two accomplished pianists join forces for 4-HANDS at the KEYBOARD, a lively program spanning the broadcast era of the 1920s through the present day.
Featuring music by Gade, Gershwin, Corigliano, Barber, Ives, and Bernstein, the program showcases the remarkable range of music written and arranged for four hands at one piano, from memorable melodies of the early broadcast era to the distinctive sounds of contemporary American music.
Featuring Nan Childress Orchard and John Pivarnik, this concert celebrates the energy, precision, and interplay of collaborative piano performance. Nan Childress Orchard teaches music at Caldwell University, where she is a member of the music faculty. John Pivarnik serves as Organist and Director of Music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Chatham and is also an active freelance instrumental and vocal accompanist, frequently performing solo recitals throughout the metropolitan area.
