    Event description

Join us for an engaging workshop where we delve into the intricate relationships we have with climate change. Explore how emotional intelligence plays a pivotal role in understanding and addressing our responses to the climate crisis.

In this workshop, we'll start with an introspective inventory of our own emotions towards climate change. As we explore a range of responses commonly associated with the crisis, we'll discover how naming these can tame them. This is empowering and can enables us to navigate the complexities with more resilience and clarity. Together, we'll also contemplate how emotions like love can serve as catalysts, inspiring agency and positive change.

Leave the event with new insights, giving you tools to gain some agency and take meaningful steps towards a sustainable future: a world we can be proud to pass on to future generations.

    About the Presenter: Christina Brauer

Christina is an educator and learning designer who currently works for PGLD at UTS. Curious about her own wilful ignorance in the past towards climate change and the ambivalence she observes in others, she embarked on extensive research into climate psychology and communication. This resulted in the creation of the Climate Parties, an event series designed to bring people together, raise awareness and foster meaningful discussions about this critical issue to ignite agency. Her love for the planet inspires her to gently push for greater understanding among all of us to move towards a kinder, more just and sustainable future.
