Chats for the Goals: Making Change Together - Growing sustainable cities from the ground up
Event description
How can we ensure that sustainability transitions are equitable and grounded in community priorities?
Community participation and leadership is critical for achieving Sustainable Cities and Communities (goal 11). In this workshop, learn about a powerful initiative by the Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion that used storytelling and visual art to build a local roadmap for a sustainable future. Using participatory and creative approaches to centre lived experience, the project first identified local priorities, then partnered with three community-led initiatives to create tangible local impact.
Facilitated by the Social Impact Lab from the Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion.
