Whether you're a scratch golfer or just here for a good time, everyone is welcome. Come for the competition and Melbourne Cup day, stay for the community,
Format: 12-hole Ambrose team scoring, shotgun start, handicaps applied
Teams: Register as a team, or join an existing team to meet new people. When you purchase tickets, you will see what teams have slots available. If you plan or playing with your friends and you are not purchasing all tickets as a team, please all register in the same letter team.
Schedule:
9:30: Guest arrival to Tempo cafe. Get bacon & egg roll and coffee.
10:15: Guest briefing.
10:30: Shotgun start.
13:30: Golf hard stop, head back to Tempo for lunch.
15:00: Melbourne Cup race

Important details:
Tickets: Purchase up to 12 tickets per transaction. Check the ticketing page for available team slots.
Hole Assignments: Starting hole positions will be randomly assigned 1 week prior to the event. You will play in the team letter that you bought your ticket in.
Marketing Content: Please note that content will be captured for marketing materials on the day. Notify one of our staff who will give you a wristband if you don't want to be featured in content.
FAQs
- What format will be played?
The event will be a 4-ball handicap Ambrose team shotgun event, playing off the yellow tees.
- What happens if I don't complete all of my holes?
You apply a par score to any holes that were unfinished by 5:00pm.
- What do I do if I don't have a handicap?
Apply NA and we will apply a base handicap for players.
- Is this event open to everyone?
Yes! You do not need to be a member of any golf club, or Newgreens Chatswood to participate in our community shotgun event. It is open to anyone and everyone.
- What does my ticket include?
Green fees

Carts are not included. They can be booked in advance and paid for on the day.
- What happens if it's raining?
Refunds apply only if the Moore Park Golf course superintendent deems the course unplayable. If mid-way through the event, the course becomes unplayable due to weather, there are no refunds.
- Can I get a refund?
You can apply for a full refund via the Humanitix website or your booking confirmation no later than 7 days prior to the event. Any refunds after this must be requested and sent to the Event Manager, and refunds will be offered on a case by case basis. There are no refunds for no shows on the day.
- What happens if I purchased for the wrong session?
If you purchase for the afternoon session and wanted the morning session, or vice versa, the quickest way to change sessions will be to process a self-managed refund via Humanitix and then re-purchase your ticket into the session you want to play in. Please check that the other session has availability before you refund your original ticket. If there is no availability in the other session, we cannot guarantee you will get a spot in the other session.
