Event description

NEW DATE: 4 JUNE 2022

Bringing to you, dear Wollongong, the very first Cheeks party, Unholy. Cheeks is a space of kindness, courage and freedom, seeking to uplift all that is queer in our community. Caressing you with queer joy, Unholy will be godly, sacrilegious and all those who traverse the divide between.

Centering non-male DJs and perfomers, Unholy will be soundtracked by

Rina Evangeline

Sailor Gronk

Lenna

Cleo

And bear witness to several sinful performances including drag by Gaylord and burlesque by Faerie Cake.

Think no shirts in church, latex in the convent, priests in harnesses.

This event is 18+. The location will be disclosed the morning of the event via the email collected at time of purchase. Central to Wollongong, the venue is accessible by public transport and is wheelchair accessible. This event is a secure and supportive environment and actively employs a Safe Space policy. Every-body is welcome but this is a space predominantly for the queers. Gender non-conforming, non-binary, trans, femmes, non-male folk and questioning queers, this space is for you. Ignorance, harassment or violence in any form will not be tolerated at this event (or ever). Consent is imperative, sexy and everything.

Once we pay our performers and our bills, all profits will be directed to Black Rainbow Australia. Black Rainbow is a national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Sistergirl and Brotherboy (LGBQTI+SB) organisation working to support the health and wellbeing of LGBQTI+SB people through community projects and individual funding opportunities.  More info can be found here: http://www.blackrainbow.org.au

This event takes place on stolen land. We acknowledge the Wodi Wodi people, the traditional custodians of the beautiful Dharawal country we get to live and thrive under. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging and the efforts made in the fight for queer liberation by Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander peoples and people of colour.
