Cheese Club - October New Zealand in Bloom

October is officially NZ Cheese Month, a nationwide celebration of the extraordinary cheeses being made right here in Aotearoa. And there’s a lovely reason it happens now: spring brings the spring flush, when lush pasture produces an abundance of beautiful, rich milk for our cheesemakers to work their magic with.

Alongside Virginnia from Cook’s Corner, we’re going to feast on the bounty of our own backyard.

We’ll taste our way through a selection of New Zealand cheeses, exploring different styles, milks and makers from around the country, as always, Virginia will share the stories behind what we’re eating.

And because we couldn’t celebrate New Zealand produce without something equally good in the glass, Kismet will be bringing a little taste of the deep south to the table with Bluff Gin -distilled in Bluff and wonderfully evocative of its wild, salty southern home.

Expect cheese. Plenty of it. Beautiful accompaniments. A little something from the bar. And an evening celebrating just how extraordinarily well we do things down here at the bottom of the world.
