with the intention of immortalising emotion through art, meanjin creative, chelsea costar writes indie folk music for those with big souls. instrumentals of resonating guitars, lap steel and soft drums become a canvas for chelsea’s tender lyrics paired with her captivating and shimmering vocals. within her music you'll find love letters to what once was, what is and what is yet to come – entangled with feelings of warmth and intimacy. onstage, chelsea is joined by her beautiful band of friends - gerry rossi (lead guitar), ruby campbell (bass guitar, backing vocals), & james love (drums). her debut track, the laundromat song, detailed a heavy breakup leading to growth in a folky ballad, followed by overgrown with lily wade, an ode to being an overthinker. with wistful words and a love for connection, there's much more to come soon from this stargirl.

Indigo blends indie rock, jazz, and melancholy lyrics that tug at your heartstrings, capturing the chaos of sapphic love and heartbreak. Based in Meanjin (Brisbane) since 2022, she’s shared the stage with Matt Maltese, Maddy Jane, and more, and recently toured the east coast with Naarm’s Hassall (2024). Her sophomore release, The Room, is a dreamy indie-folk ballad, while her debut, Romantic Overthinker, tells a classic queer tale of unrequited love. Next up, Indigo’s new single Lilium explores the messy emotions of heartbreak and self-discovery, marking a heavy step forward in her music. With unwavering confidence and cheeky humour, get ready to fall in love and maybe even hold hands with Indigo Hue.

wisher are an alternative rock band hailing from meanjin, fusing dreamy two-part harmonies with unconventional tunings and dynamic riffs. inspired by the likes dinosaur jr, the crying nudes and grandaddy, wisher creates flowing guitar melodies and fuse them with longing lyrics and haunting feminine harmonies.
