Featuring a fresh new production by Alannah Spencer with an updated script and English translation, this witty evening begins with The Impresario, where a newly founded opera company is desperately trying to mount its very first production. The only problem? Two ambitious sopranos are both convinced they're destined to star in Mozart's Bastien and Bastienne.
Who will win the coveted role of the charming shepherdess? And what happens when the losing diva refuses to accept defeat? Expect sabotage, slapstick comedy, soaring Mozart melodies, and plenty of operatic chaos before the curtain even rises on Bastien and Bastienne.
