Chicago: Concert in Memory of Volodymyr Ivasiuk / Acoustic Evening with Valeriia Vovk & Michele Romeo

On May 17, 1979, Ukraine lost one of its most beloved songwriters and musical visionaries — Volodymyr Ivasiuk, whose melodies became the voice of generations.

Join us on May 29th at Eventus Hall as we celebrate Ivasiuk’s extraordinary life and lasting legacy through an evening of music and reflection. Valeriia Vovk, accompanied by guitarist Michele Romeo, will perform 12 acoustic renditions of Ivasiuk’s timeless songs, offering a heartfelt tribute to his life, artistry, and enduring impact on Ukraine’s musical heritage.

All proceeds from the event will support the "Svitlom Do Svitla" initiative by the

Tykho Foundation, providing essential life-saving equipment to Ukraine.

Known for her emotional vocals and modern interpretations of Ukrainian folk and pop music, Valeriia has garnered millions of views on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. In 2024, she performed in over 30 U.S. cities — both as part of the Cultural Forces tour and through her independent concerts — using her voice to advocate for Ukraine and raise support through fundraising events.
