Event description
The Baptist Union of Victoria is committed to ensuring that our churches are safe places, particularly for children, youth and other vulnerable people, by providing training for leaders and volunteers who serve in the church’s various ministries. During this period when much of church life has been disrupted and when we are not able to meet together for our usual Safe Church Awareness & Refresher Workshops (SCAW / SCRW), our commitment to providing training and resources continues.
Free Introductory videos by Carl Collins
Carl Collins, Executive Director Child Protection Solutions, has generously made some videos available to Victorian Baptist Church leaders on the important area of Child Protection. The BUV encourages any senior leader, and /or any volunteer working with children or young people, who has not completed a SCAW, to register for and watch the following training videos.
We thanks Carl for his generosity in making these videos available and out of respect to him, we ask that you do not forward the password or link to anyone outside of your local church.
Please note that these videos ares only an introduction and do not replace the more extensive Safe Church Awareness training.

This video focuses on understanding and responding to child abuse and exploitation and is an abridged presentation or orientation for Baptist church leaders.
