Consider:

· Has your understanding of child safe obligations grown since your last review — or is it still where it was a year or two ago?

· Are your reporting pathways genuinely embedded, or do staff need to be told what to do in the moment?

· Could newer or smaller RTOs in your network be missing obligations altogether?

Child safe practice isn’t a policy you write once and file away — it’s a capability that needs to be actively maintained, tested, and understood by every part of your organisation, and shared more broadly across the sector. Building on the National Principles session run earlier this year, this deeper dive goes further into embedding child safe practice as genuine organisational capability, and is designed to help more RTOs — including those newer to the obligation — build real confidence in what to do and why.

Key Topics

· Moving from a documented policy to embedded, tested practice

· Building staff capability and confidence, including for newer or smaller teams

· Strengthening reporting pathways so they work under pressure, not just on paper

· Learning from real scenarios: what child safe practice looks like when it’s tested

· Evidencing child safe practice for audit and continuous improvement
