What is Physiological Birth?

Physiological birth is a natural, instinctive process where the body leads the way, free from unnecessary medical interventions. It is rooted in the understanding that birth is a normal, healthy event in a woman's life, designed to unfold optimally when undisturbed.

Embracing physiological birth means trusting your body's innate ability to give birth, harnessing the power of hormones, and creating an environment that supports this natural process. This approach prioritises the mother's comfort, autonomy, and preferences, allowing her to move, vocalise, and birth in ways that feel right to her.

By honouring physiological birth, we minimise the risks associated with interventions, promote better outcomes for both mother and baby, and foster a deeply empowering and positive birth experience.
