Children's Rights in Action 2026
Description
Conversations about young children and digital technology often focus on screen time, restrictions and risks. But what happens when we shift the conversation to children’s rights, opportunities and participation in a digital world?
Join us in person or online for Children’s Rights in Action, an evening bringing together educators, researchers, advocates and others passionate about supporting young children to thrive in a digital world.
Through engaging presentations, practical examples and shared conversations, we’ll explore how children’s rights can inform the ways we think about and use digital technology in early childhood. Drawing on research and real-world experiences, we’ll consider how we can balance protection with participation and create opportunities for children to learn, express themselves and engage meaningfully with technology.
The evening will provide opportunities to connect with others, exchange ideas, share perspectives and reflect on what children’s digital rights look like in everyday practice. Those attending in person will also have opportunities for informal networking and conversation.
Whether you work directly with children, support educators, contribute to research or simply have an interest in children’s rights, we invite you to join us in person or online, contribute to the conversation and help shape a more thoughtful, rights-based approach to young children’s digital experiences.
