Children's Treasure Hunt at the Military Barracks

Take part in an historical voyage of discovery with the kids as part of their holiday fun. Your route will start at the Barracks and you can either walk or drive depending on the weather and how you feel on the day. Discover why the Barracks are one of the oldest surviving military buildings in W.A. Why and when were the Pepper Trees planted and how did the heritage roses get here? Visit Granny Ettie’s Hill, the Australian Heritage Rose Maze and Kodja Place Cultural Centre and discover all sorts of amazing and fascinating facts, some of which can be found in shop windows and around town. Prizes for the winners in each age range. You will finish back at the Barracks where a cup of tea/coffee, water/juice box await for a small donation, accompanied by a few tasty treats.
