WORKSHOP 1: MAGIC OF GOUACHE - 3 August - $80

  • Step into a safe, supportive space to explore your creativity through movement, mark-making, and intuition. In this dynamic workshop, you’ll blend neurographic drawing with Surrealist automatism, guided by music and emotion. Using ink and gouache, you’ll experiment with colour, contrast, and pattern—letting sound and feeling direct your brush and palette knife.

Workshop Format:

  1. Greeting and sharing

  2. Warm up - drawings with crayon, pencil, ink and colour mixing

  3. A2 painting neurographic/automatic painting using gouache and ink

  4. Celebrate and share - take home A2 artwork and several A3/A4 experimental pieces.

WORKSHOP 2: WILD INK: DRAWING WITH NATURE’S TOOLS - 17 August - $80

  • Wander through the natural environment and awaken your senses as you gather found materials—twigs, leaves, grasses, feathers—to create your own unique brushes and mark-making tools. Engage with nature using all five senses, taking note of textures, scents, sounds, and shifting light. Flow into a meditative state as you create expressive ink drawings over watercolour-washed backgrounds.​

Workshop Format:

  1. Greeting and sharing

  2. Warm up - finding and building tools, experimenting with materials

  3. Creating large artwork or series of small pieces filled with mark making and images that capture your response to nature using ink and watercolour.

  4. Celebrate and share

WORKSHOP 3: GATHER, CREATE: A MIXED MEDIA EXPERIENCE - 31 August - $80

  • Explore the beauty of still life through drawing, painting, and collage in this relaxed, hands-on workshop. With a variety of materials at your fingertips, respond intuitively to the forms before you—layering colour, line, and tone to create depth, contrast, and visual interest. Slip into a meditative, playful flow state as you experiment, explore, and express your own unique artistic response to the still life.​

Workshop Format:

  1. Greeting and sharing

  2. Warm up - create mix media papers and contour line drawings

  3. Creating large mix media still life using collage, ink, watercolour, gouache and pencils

  4. Celebrate and share and work

WORKSHOP 4: TINY TREASURES: SCULPTING WITH FOUND OBJECTS - 14 September - $80

  • Dive into a playful and meditative sculptural adventure using recycled and found objects. Each participant will receive a surprise bag of assorted materials—twigs, wire, fabric scraps, plastic bits, natural fragments and more. Let the contents guide your imagination as you bind, twist, tie, and glue your way into creating your own miniature sculpture.​

Workshop Format:

  1. Greeting and sharing

  2. Blind contour drawings of natural environment

  3. Explore a variety of construct and join techniques

  4. Create small found object sculptures inspired by drawings and materials

  5. Celebrate and share and work

WORKSHOP 5: Earth Forms: Sculpting Nature in Clay - 28 September - $80

Connect with nature and clay in this calming, hands-on workshop. Learn basic hand-building techniques to create your own seed pod sculpture or respond to natural forms that inspire you. Using clay as a meditative material, you’ll shape, smooth, and sculpt intuitively—letting the rhythm of the process guide your creativity.

Workshop Format:

  1. Greeting and sharing

  2. Drawings of objects from natural environment

  3. Learn clay construction and joining techniques

  4. Build small clay sculpture of a natural object

  5. Celebrate and share and work
