Chop Lloyd- 2 day Workshop - Sonder Academy
Event description
John Lloyd – Founder of Chop Studio KL | Mizutani Ambassador | @choplloyd
John Lloyd is a hybrid hairdresser-barber leading the charge in Asia’s modern hair scene. Starting his career at 15, he built his foundation under mentors trained by Toni & Guy and Vidal Sassoon, developing a strong technical eye early on.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, John is the founder of Chop Studio a space that’s set a new standard for hair in the city. It’s not just a studio; it’s a hub. A place where quality, creativity, and education meet. Through Chop, John has played a key role in bringing some of the world’s top haircutting educators to Southeast Asia, helping lift the bar for the whole region.
He’s also a Mizutani Ambassador, a title given to only a handful of stylists worldwide. It’s a nod to his technical ability and the respect he’s earned within the global hair community.
This two-day session is your chance to learn directly from John, his approach, his systems, and his mindset behind the chair.
