Calling all singers to an Opera Chorus Fest!
Chorus Fest is an Opera Chorus Workshop followed by an Evening Concert.
An opportunity to work with a charismatic young conductor from Wellington, meet with other like-minded people, perform to family and friends in the evening what has been achieved during the day!
Music reading an advantage but not a necessity, age groups Years 10 and above, for anyone who enjoys singing in a chorus, especially an opera chorus.
WORKSHOP FACILITATOR, BRENT STEWART.
Brent is a leading New Zealand conductor, percussionist, and pianist with a dynamic career spanning
various prestigious roles, significant premieres, and impactful contributions to music education.
Since 2014, Brent has been the Music Director of Orpheus Choir Wellington, leading the choir to new
heights with dramatic, spectacular, and emotionally charged performances. Under his direction, the
choir has presented stunning renditions of works such as Vaughan Williams' A Sea Symphony, Orff's
Carmina Burana, Bach's B Minor Mass, and Mozart's Requiem. The choir now regularly fills concert
halls, boasts the largest choir membership in its history, and is frequently engaged by orchestras
such as Orchestra Wellington and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.Â

The workshop will run from 10:30 to 3:30

REQUIREMENTS
Workshop participants must be able to attend all working sessions Saturday 10.30am -
midday and 1.30 - 3.30pm and the evening concert at Hanover Hall at night 7.30pm
