It’s the 20th Anniversary of the Cliff Comp!

The Cliff. Nestled between two of Newcastle’s most iconic beaches. And the genesis of so many great memories.

Only a brief 20-years ago, a bunch of young, bold and loose-moraled men descended upon The Cliff to celebrate a day of surfing, mate ship and summer. And naturally, select one man, who stood above all others, on this special day. For that next year he would be known as Mr Cliff, with ice on his fingers and beer in his hair. While that inaugural event laid the foundation of a tradition celebrated in houses across the world, in 2025 we will come together to celebrate, not only as men, but with the incredible women that have endured the legend of the Chrissy Cliff Comp.

On this special night, Saturday 18th October, boardies, sunglasses, tents, cans and shortboards will be replaced by suits, frocks and champagne glasses. As we come together at MEET Restaurant to celebrate 20-years of the Chrissy Cliff Comp. Featuring former Mr Cliffs all the way back from 2005, when YouTube launched, Cronulla kicked off, a Pope died and that fucking Crazy Frog ringtone was on every ad break.

Seemingly not much has changed in 20-years, and that’s OK. If you are fortunate enough to receive an invite, we expect you haven’t changed too much either and would rather be nowhere else than amongst legends, friends and some very good sorts.
