Christchurch Bengali Community Inc. is delighted to invite you all to join us in celebrating the grand festival of Durga Puja 2026 on Saturday, 17th October 2026. This auspicious occasion, recognised on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, marks the triumph of good over evil and is celebrated with immense joy and fervour by the Christchurch Bengali Community and people from all walks of life. Our Durga Puja venue is spacious enough to accommodate a large number of guests, has plenty of onsite designated free parking spaces, and is ideally situated in the centre of our beautiful city. This is our 11th Year of celebration where we will re-unveil our new "Maa Durga" idol which is a work of art came all the way from India, complemented by wonderful decoration of Indian-Bengali culture.We have planned the day with fun filled activities, scrumptious lunch, multi-cultural extravaganza and celebration of true culture, heritage and togetherness. Our decoration for the event is so well praised that we have done a heritage and cultural session at the Culture Galore 2026 and we will again deliver a stunning creative decoration along with awesome cultural event and truly magical moment for you and your family.

Our unbeatable celebration is absolutely FREE and Family friendly. We welcome people from ALL Walks of Life.
