Christchurch Envirokids x Predator Free Port Hills
Description
Join us for a fun, hands-on session with Predator Free Port Hills and Whaka-Ora Pest Project, and discover how everyday people can protect our native birds, lizards and insects from introduced predators. 🎉
What: Team up with Christchurch Envirokids, Predator Free Port Hills and Whaka-Ora Pest Project to find out how rats, stoats and possums threaten our native species, and why community action is the key to a Predator Free 2050.
Learn: Find out which introduced predators to look out for and what they do to our native wildlife. You'll also learn why trapping matters and how it helps our environment.
Build: Get stuck in and build your own rat tunnel with a trap, and learn how to assemble and use it safely. You'll learn the kind of skills that protect our native wildlife.
Take action: See how every household can make a difference. Find out how to choose a trap, register your household and join the volunteer community working to protect the Port Hills.
Date: 22nd November
