Life after prostate cancer treatment can be challenging, with possible side effects affecting aspects of one’s life including self-esteem and personal relationships. These side effects will vary from person to person and may include erectile dysfunction and incontinence. Fortunately, there are solutions and treatment options available to help manage these and assist in recovery. Adult and Paediatric Urological Surgeon Giovanni Losco is the Clinical Director - Urology, Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury; Chair, NZ Urology Directors' Group; and Director, Urology Associates. Prior to joining Urology Associates Giovanni worked at Concord Repatriation Hospital where he focused on bladder dysfunction with a particular interest in male and female incontinence.Â
In 2018 he was awarded a Travelling Fellowship where he spent time in the USA operating with world-leading surgeons in erectile dysfunction. Giovanni also works at the Burwood Spinal Unit; is Clinical Lead for Urology at Timaru Hospital; a trustee of the Canterbury Urology Research Trust and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago.Â
