Christchurch Shed Tour - Behind the Shed Door
Event description
Self-drive Tour of Christchurch hobby sheds, brought to you by Rotary Ōtautahi Passport. It's amazing what goes on behind these shed doors. Come and meet the passionate owners, who have been crafting, cultivating, collecting and chilling for many years: art studios, worm farming, stained glass making, vintage and racing cars, soap making to name just a few, plus some new sheds.
Meet the collectors on our #christchurchshedtour on November 2nd, 2024 from 9am to 4pm. There will be 15 sheds in total. We all like different things, so you pick and choose the ones of interest to you.
Areas to visit include Central City, Burnside, New Brighton, Prebbleton, Lincoln, West Melton, Rolleston, and Clarkville. Some sites have their crafts available for purchase. Shop early for Christmas!
In between there is nostalgia galore! Refreshments will also be available at some sites so have some cash ready.
This event is fundraising for Perinatal Wellbeing Canterbury, who have been looking after parents' mental health wellbeing in the region since 2007. Their work support parents to manage their mental health wellbeing challenges related to pregnancy, childbirth and parenting during the first 2,000 days (pregnancy to 5 years). All profits from this year's Shed Tour will go to Perinatal Wellbeing Canterbury to further support their families.
The self-drive electronic map with the sheds' locations will be e-mailed on Friday, 1st November 2024, after 7pm. Limited hard copies will be available at every shed. Any tour day queries can be directed to Deb, Ph 021 105 6139.
No ticket refunds. If you are unable to use your ticket on the day, you are welcome to pass it on to a friend or family. No dogs and/or children please. Most sites are not suitable for wheelchair access. The tour will take place wet or fine. Last but not least, Rotary Ōtautahi Passport and all shed owners take no responsibilities for hazards on the properties. Please take care.
Thank you for your support.
