Event description

Come along and enjoy a musical afternoon with Christine Anu at the historic Camperdown Theatre Royal.

Christine is one of Australia's most popular recording artists and performers.  Many Australians consider her "My Island Home" to be the unofficial Australian National Anthem.  She has one of the country's most enduring and recognisable voices and uses her voice and reputation to spread a message of unity and hope.

Her career spans music, theatre, dance, film, television, radio, children's entertainment and keynote speaking.  She has acted in Hollywood blockbusters such as Moulin Rouge and The Matrix - Reloaded, performed in hit sell-out musicals Rent and Little Shop of Horrors, and had featuring roles in TV shows The Alice and Outland.  She has been central to a number many memorable historic moments, including performing My Island Home at the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony.

Christine is proud of her Torres Strait Islander heritage and uses her profile as a platform to advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
