'Tis the season for cozy nights, good books, and crafting something you'll actually want to display. Join Plotlines & Passports at The Romance Section Bookstore on December 9th, 2026 from 6:00–8:30pm for a Christmas Kinusaiga Craft Night — part maker's workshop, part bookish hangout, all holiday magic.
Kinusaiga is a traditional Japanese fabric-mosaic art form where scraps of cloth are cut and fitted together, puzzle-style, to form a finished image — no sewing, no drippy glue, just careful hands and a little patience. You'll be guided step-by-step through creating your own festive, bookish-themed piece to take home (and hang somewhere your TBR pile can admire it).
While your hands are busy, so will the conversation — think favorite holiday romance reads, hot takes on tropes, and swapping recommendations with readers who get it. Expect the kind of found-family energy Plotlines & Passports is built on: every genre, every trope, every reader welcome. No fences, no gatekeeping — just good company and glue that (mercifully) stays where it's supposed to.

- Do I need any experience to take this class?
Not a bit. Kinusaiga is beginner-friendly, and we'll walk you through every step. If you can cut and place, you can do this.
- What's included in my ticket?
All craft supplies and materials, everything you need to create your piece is provided.
- Will I finish a full project in 2 hours?
Quite possibly. A baggie will be provided so on the off chance you don't, you can take it home to finish it.
- What should I bring?
Just yourself and your book recommendations. If you want to bring your current read to show off or chat about, we'd love to see it.
- Can kids come?
This event is designed with adults in mind, given the discussion topics involved.
- What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable but we will keep your project packaged and can arrange to meet up to hand it off so you don't miss out.
