Christmas BVRT Night Ride - Yarraman to Linville

Our most popular BVRT night ride is back!

Experience the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail like never before as you ride from Yarraman to Linville beneath a spectacular sunset and a star-filled country sky.

This unique BVRT adventure begins in Yarraman in the late afternoon and finishes in Linville after dark. With the trail illuminated only by your bike lights and the night sky above, it's a truly next-level cycling experience.

Event Schedule

• 4:30pm: Check-in and bike loading at Linville

• 5:00pm sharp: Minibuses and bike trailers depart for Yarraman

• Ride departs as the sun sets

• Arrive back in Linville after dark

Post-Ride Dinner (Optional)

Celebrate the ride with a delicious meal at Linville Café:

• Slow-cooked brisket

• Mac and cheese

• Green pea, corn and Persian fetta salad

$33 per person

Accommodation options can be found on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail website. Free camping is also available in the historic Linville station precinct, with shower and toilet facilities provided.

Rider Requirements

• MTB or gravel bike recommended

• A reliable off-road light capable of lasting at least 3 hours is mandatory

• Please test your lights before the ride and don't rely solely on manufacturers' battery-life claims

• Riders should have basic off-road riding skills and a reasonable level of fitness

The trail is generally moderate, with several steep gullies that may require some riders to dismount and walk.

Participation in this event is entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend riders hold personal accident and public liability insurance, either independently or through organisations such as Bicycle Queensland.

By registering for this event, participants acknowledge that mountain biking and trail riding involve inherent risks and accept the event terms and conditions. The organisers will not be held liable for accidents, injuries, loss or damage arising from participation in the ride.

Should adverse weather, bushfires or other safety concerns arise, organisers reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event. In such circumstances, a full refund will be offered.
