Event description

Join Mel from The Native Girl for a hands-on Christmas wreath workshop at The Barn on the Ridge.

For the past ten years, Mel has been creating her signature wreaths using native and locally foraged materials — and now she’s ready to share her skills. In this relaxed, creative session, you’ll learn how to craft your own native wreath using sustainably sourced flowers, foliage, and handmade vine bases prepared by Mel herself.

Throughout the workshop, Mel will guide you through her techniques for shaping and layering your wreath, offer tips for keeping it fresh, and show how to adapt it through the seasons so it can be enjoyed well beyond Christmas.

Every detail of this workshop reflects Mel’s commitment to sustainability and care for the land.

No floral foam. No synthetic materials. Each wreath base is handmade from locally gathered weedy vines, ensuring that what you create treads lightly on the environment and honours our native bushland.

Come spend an afternoon surrounded by beautiful blooms, good company, and the spirit of the season and take home a wreath that tells a story of place, care, and creativity.
