Christmas Tree Tour at Edgar's Mission
Event description
A Gift for the Goats
Christmas is over for another year, but that doesn’t mean the giving should end. Instead of sending your real pine Christmas tree to landfill, why not let it bring joy to the rescued goats at Edgar’s Mission?
Here’s how it works:
- Donate your natural (unsprayed) Christmas tree with all decorations removed. Please drop off your gift to the goats at the designated point located just outside the sanctuary gates at 81 Bridies Lane, Lancefield from 30 December.
- Join us for a Christmas Tree Tour to see the goats delight in their "tree-eats." You'll witness firsthand how these festive donations make their day!
- Please note you can still donate your tree even if you can't join the tour, and you can book a spot on the tour even if you have no tree to donate!
Important Tour Information
Edgar’s Mission is located in beautiful Lancefield in Victoria, Australia. Sanctuary tours are fun and informative, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. We are not a petting zoo, but you’ll have the chance to interact with the animal residents if they choose.
We offer the Christmas Tree tour for free to make visiting the sanctuary as accessible as possible, with the option to 'pay as you feel' if you would like to support Edgar's Mission through a financial contribution of any size.
Can't make it? PLEASE let us know by email in advance of your visit for others so others don't miss out. Tours are popular and waitlists are long! Email bookings@edgarsmission.org.au or send a message via Humanitix. We appreciate it!
Biosecurity
To keep our animals safe from disease, please follow these important biosecurity measures:
- If you are an Australian citizen who has travelled overseas or an international citizen in ANY country outside of Australia, please do not visit the sanctuary for 7 days after your return as per the Victorian Government directive. Please contact us if you have booked a visit and this applies to you.
- If you have visited a factory/intensive farm do not visit the sanctuary for 7 days.
- Please ensure your footwear, clothing and equipment is free of any mud, animal manure or other contaminants before visiting.
- It is essential upon arrival at Edgar’s Mission, that you step on the foot bath at the entrance to ensure your shoes are clean.
Thank you in anticipation of your kindness and cooperation. Please remember that biosecurity is EVERYONE’S responsibility.
