Event description

Welcome to Wattlebrush School of Bushcraft and Wizardry, where Hogwarts meets the Australian bush! Join us for a school holiday adventure filled with hands-on wizarding classes and outdoor exploration designed for Wiz-kids aged 8-12.

Experience the magic of Hogwarts down under with a special Summer Yuletide twist!  

  • House Sorting Ceremony: 🧙‍♂️ Be sorted into Wattlebrush houses with our magical Sorting Hat ceremony.

  • Enchanting Carols Sing-Along: 🎶🔔 Join the Frog choir with Harry Potter-themed Christmas carols.

  • Potions Classes: 🍵 Brew festive potions and learn to concoct magical remedies using ingredients foraged from the wild.

  • Divination (Tea Leaf Reading): 🔮 Learn to read your future in tea leaves and design your own festive tea to take home.

  • Yule Ball Dance Lesson: 💃🕺 Learn some basic dance steps, including waltzing, to prepare for the grand Yule Ball.

    Wednesday December 17th we will have a Yule Ball Celebration under the fig tree from 3-4pm. Family and Friends are welcome!

About Us

Wattlebrush is about exploring the magic of your own backyard and making incredible childhood memories. Our activities are immersive, hands-on, and run by registered teachers.

What’s Included?

A Wattlebrush adventure is packed with Wandering, Wondering, and Wizardry! Every Wiz-kid creates a wand, broomstick, spell book, and Christmas decorations to take home. Each day is filled with Potions, Herbology, and Bushcraft, with all materials provided.

What to Bring?

Food for the day, sun protection, and hydration. We encourage you to bring along your favourite magical artifacts, just in case!

Accessibility & Safety

We'll send a comprehensive starter form to gather your child’s comfort and safety requirements. For accessibility, students need to be able to climb the Scout Hall stairs with or without assistance. Many activities take place outdoors, so sun protection and weather-appropriate clothing are essential.
