The Santa Clause

The Santa Clause is a 1994 classic family comedy drama featuring Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, an ordinary man who accidentally causes Santa to fall from his roof on Christmas Eve. Santa then disappears, leaving an eight-reindeer sleigh and a suit with instructions to put it on if he's involved in an accident. Scott puts on the Santa suit, and is transported around the town dropping gifts through chimneys until he's taken to the North Pole and informed by elves that he is now Santa. His son Charlie is proud of his dad's new job, but Scott's convinced it's a dream - until his hair turns white, his beard refuses to stay shaved, and he gains weight inexplicably, even with his sudden love of junk food! Now he's accepted it, there's just one problem: how to keep it secret from his disbelieving family?

The Santa Clause is G rated and runs for 1 hour 37 minutes.

We will also be showing another classic Christmas comedy, Elf on Thursday 9 December.
