Description

Be transported to the heart of Brazil with world-class guitarist Chrystian Dozza, a performer and composer who has taken his music to concert halls and guitar festivals across five continents.

Brazilian guitarist, composer, and professor Chrystian Dozza has built an international reputation as both a soloist and an ensemble performer, with a deep focus on Brazilian music, contemporary repertoire, and cross-cultural musical dialogue. His work bridges tradition and innovation in the classical guitar world.

He has performed at the International Guitar Night (USA and Canada), the Adelaide Guitar Festival (Australia), the Lulo Reinhardt Guitar Festival (Germany), the Indiana Guitar Festival (USA), and the Home Music Festival (China), among many others — his solo playing praised for its emotional depth, refined technique, and stylistic versatility.

Chrystian is a member of the internationally renowned Quaternaglia Guitar Quartet, with whom he has toured extensively, presenting programs that blend classical masterpieces with contemporary and Brazilian works. With Quaternaglia and ensembles including Trio Opus 12, Dozza Schaup Duo, and Duo Dozza-Murray, he has released numerous critically acclaimed albums — among them Jequibau, Xangô, Four, Down the Black River, Divertimentos, and Lugar ao Vento.

He is also an accomplished composer. His original works for solo guitar and ensembles have been commissioned, performed, and recorded by leading guitarists worldwide, with several titles published by Guitar by Masters.

Chrystian holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar from Faculdade Santa Marcelina (FASM), São Paulo, and has taught classical guitar and chamber music at the Escola de Música do Estado de São Paulo (EMESP) since 2009. He has been invited to give masterclasses at institutions including Indiana University, Hunter College, the University of Texas, Griffith University, the University of Melbourne, and WAAPA.
