DANCEHALL COLLAB WORKSHOP with Chuby Dice and Deco.
Leaders of Jamaica’s top dance crews are coming together for a one-off collab workshop in Eora/Sydney. Chuby Dice (Black Dice, JA) and Deco (Zymm Team, JA) are cooking up a collaboration featuring their hit crew moves + choreography that will enhance your movement quality and musicality.
Sharing iconic moves such as Free Kick, Tek A Piece A It, Rich Badness and Warning, the jam-packed workshop will run for 90 mins, full of firsthand Jamaican culture, dance and music.
You will leave rich in knowledge and good vibes so, be sure to lock in this epic opportunity to learn from Chuby Dice and Deco during their visit to NSW.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Chuby Dice
Chuby Dice is one of the top dancers in Jamaica and leader of Jamaican dancehall crew Black Dice. He featured on the big screen in films including ‘Intent 2’ and ‘King of the Dancehall’ directed by Nick Cannon, and music videos for top artists including Vybz Kartel, Busta Rhymes, Shawn Storm and Australian producer Monkey Marc. His team Black Dice have gained much street cred and global recognition over the past few years for bringing the fire back to Jamaican Dancehall street parties with their pyrotechnic displays.
In Australia, Chuby has performed at festivals including MONA FOMA, St Kilda Festival and Moomba, supported international touring artists such as Konshens, and judged the Australian Dancehall King and Queen competition. As a highly knowledgeable and sought after dance instructor he has delivered workshops all through Europe, Australia and of course back home in Jamaica with students traveling from all over the world to learn authentic Jamaican dance from the source.
Deco
Javan Reid (aka Deco) has over 15 years experience in Jamaican traditional and modern dance. He hails from St. Thomas, Jamaica, where he honed his craft before relocating to Australia in 2019. Since then, he has become a prominent figure in the Australian dance scene, teaching nationally and internationally across Chile, South America, Naarm/Melbourne, Eora/Sydney, Boorloo/Perth, Meanjin/Brisbane and his home country of Jamaica.
Deco has also represented dancehall and Jamaica in open style freestyle battles across Australia.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Photography and videography will be present throughout the workshop for promotional purposes. Please advise a Sydney Dancehall Community representative prior to the workshop if you wish to be excluded from images and footage.
The workshop is open to all ages however, please be aware that music utilised may be uncensored.
Entry is via stair access to Level 2, available from the ground floor on Foveaux St.
Alma studios is a short walk from Central Station and Crown St. Paid street parking is available around the studio.
