Church of SLTs

Welcome to the Church of SLTs (C.O.S), a space of reclamation for the sl%ts, the witches, and the outcasts.

Here, we resist oppression in all its forms: sexual shame, body shame, and all other types of shame.

This is a space to foster community around shared values of shame resilience and anti-oppression.

At C.O.S, all bodies, genders, sexualities, and identity expressions are welcome and celebrated.

We recognise and honour the interconnected nature of social categorisations such as race, class, and sexuality, which can lead to overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage.

We strive to make this space inclusive and accessible to all, ensuring that physical, economic, and social barriers do not hinder participation. People of all body abilities and neurodiversity are embraced and valued here.

My name is Marania. I birthed the C.O.S for a performance I recruited friends into and delivered at a party.

I love performing on stage and i saw this as an opportunity to ally that with activism and a theme that is dear to my heart.

The performance was met with an enthusiastic response. Many people reached out to me afterward, expressing how deeply the message resonated with them. It was then that I realised this was just the beginning of something much greater and the C.O.S needed to reach more people.
And so here we are my dear Sl%ts...

The Church of SLTs Mass will be a regular event featuring guest performers.

Location: Brunswick East venue (address will be confirmed to tickets holders by email)

Seating:

The seating will be on the floor on cushions. If you are unable to sit on the floor please get in touch on 0480 079 465 so we can organise a seat for you.

Content Warning:

There will be adult themes and nudity throughout the night. 

Consent:

At C.O.S, Consent is paramount. Nudity is not permission to touch. Seek Verbal Enthusiastic Consent before engaging with others. Any behaviour that violates consent will not be tolerated. Any breach of consent will result in the participant being asked to leave the event immediately. Respect and safety are our top priorities.

Photography and Videos:

An official photographer will be taking photos or videos throughout the night and some of these may end up on social media. If you do not want to be in these please let us know and we will make sure to keep you out of them. Please do not take any picture of performers or participants unless you have their consent.

Mingling time

There will be a DJ playing from 7pm and a bar where you'll be able to get refreshments from opening. Come have a boogie and mingle with fellow sl$ts <3

Supported Tickets

We donate a fixed amount of free tickets to people who need it.Shoot an email to to apply at least 7 days prior to the event.First Nations People will be prioritised for these tickets.

C.O.S acknowledges the Traditional custodians of the land in which we work, live and play. This event will be taking place on stolen land. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present. We acknowledge that Aboriginal sovereignty has not been ceded and that we need a treaty. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
