Church Planting Workshop

CHURCH PLANTING FOR YOUR MISSIONAL CONTEXT (WITH CITY TO CITY)

Australian society is changing, and churches aren’t where they used to be. Although this plays out differently in different contexts and communities at street level. 
This workshop will help you deepen your grasp of the missional possibilities in your context and sharpen your approach to church planting for that context. 

We will use the Four Fields framework to consider the strengths and shadow sides of various approaches to planting. And you will explore simple practices to help bring the good news of Jesus into your neighbourhood, make and multiply disciples, and gather as a new faith community with kingdom impact.

• Julie-anne Laird is City to City Australia’s Specialist Consultant in Evangelism & Mission, the Canon for Church
  Planting for the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne, and Chair of Lausanne Australia.
  
  
• Chris Swann is City to City Australia’s Director of Church Planting and teaches Evangelism and Ministry at Ridley College. He is also an Anglican minister, and author of The Dialectics
  of Discipleship: Karl Barth, Sanctification, and Theological Ethic

There will also be some of our recent BUV Church Planter practitioners, and our Church Planting Consultants, present to learn from and chat with throughout the day.
