Cicada HealthTech Hub Masterclass: Dataroom Essentials for Investor Readiness in Healthtech & Lifescience Ventures
Description
Raising capital in health tech and life sciences is hard — the science might be world-class, but that's rarely enough. Investors need clarity and assurance before they commit, and one of the biggest sources of that assurance is your dataroom.
Founders and technical teams often underestimate what investors are actually looking for in a dataroom, and how much a well-structured one can accelerate — or a poorly structured one can stall — a funding round. This masterclass walks you through the frameworks, tools and real examples you need to build a dataroom that gives investors exactly what they need to say yes with confidence.
Whether you're preparing for your first raise or tightening up before your next one, you'll leave with a practical, investor-ready framework you can apply immediately.
This masterclass features a presentation on Dataroom essentials for Investor Readiness in Healthtech & Lifescience Ventures - providing innovators with a practical checklist and tools as your venture grow and scale, followed by a discussion with Dr Gisela Mautner (Principle, The Mautner Doc), Prashanth Rajan (Associate, Brandon Capital), Gordon Black (East West Capital) to discuss what works, what failed and what VCs, operators, Angels are looking for.
What you'll learn
How to structure your own dataroom — the basics, must-haves and good-to-haves
Tools for organising, storing, sharing and protecting your data
Dataroom alignment and protection — responsible use of AI tools, and where to be cautious
What investors are really looking for, and how to use your dataroom strategically
What should go into your investor memo
Common mistakes that slow down funding rounds — and how to avoid them
Who should attend
This session is designed for:
