Event description

You are invited to participate in a series of roundtable discussions exploring how we can strengthen social cohesion in Australia.

These roundtables are part of the Creating an Inclusive Narrative project, an ongoing national project facilitated by the Australian Baha’i community to bring together the experiences and perspectives of people from diverse backgrounds to contribute to a more inclusive story of Australia. A story of who we are, where we want to be, and the shared values that can guide this journey. It will draw on our rich diversity to weave together a shared vision - strengthening belonging and inclusion, and fostering greater social cohesion.

We are seeking representatives from all organisations, religious and cultural communities, the media, corporations, academia, think tanks, institutions, artists, authors and government from across Australia to share experience, ideas and to explore fundamental questions such as: How do we describe our collective identity? Who are we? How can we become more socially cohesive and inclusive? What are the values, characteristics and practical steps which will strengthen social cohesion in Australia?

The insights and contributions offered will be synthesised into the second edition of the Creating an Inclusive Narrative publication which will be made widely available to government and civil society.
