'Vizontele'

We are super excited to announce our screening of the classic Turkish comedy-drama ‘Viziontele’ on the 10th of October, from 6:30pm at Little Homey Cafe - our favourite neighbourhood community café!

Directed by Yilmaz Erdoğan and co-directed by Ömer Faruk Sorak, Vizontele is a nostalgic and heart-warming film inspired by Yilmaz’s childhood memories of the arrival of the first television in his village during the 1970s in southeastern Turkey.

This film explores the tensions between different religious and political groups in Turkish society in the late 1970s. Through its portrayal of everyday life, we love the way this film blends modernity and tradition through the birth of the mass media age.
This movie celebrates the experience of communal film watching, and so, we thought it would be fitting to enjoy it altogether as a community!

Spots are FREE (with tickets limited to 45 seats, get in quick!)
