Sacred Community Nourishment Sourdough Series: Cinnamon Buns
Event description
About the Class:
Sourdough Cinnamon Buns! Everyone gets excited about sourdough loaves and it's easy to understand why, but what about all the delicious and nourishing food you can make with sourdough discard? Savory or sweet, the possibilities are endless! In this hands-on class devoted to your sourdough discard, you will learn the step by step process of making handmade sourdough cinnamon buns.
In class each participant will have the opportunity to roll their own recipe of cinnamon buns to take home and bake the next morning. In addition, you will receive the gift of a developed sourdough starter along with a detailed recipe booklet complete with process images, the recipe, and additional resources to support you on your sourdough journey.
Naturally, class will conclude with a tasting of sourdough cinnamon buns baked fresh in the MAP kitchen. The class is great for beginners or for those looking to expand their understanding of sourdough baking.

About the Instructor:
My name is Ashley Smith and I am a woman who wears many hats! I am a mamma, healing artist, health enthusiast, homesteader, mentor, and a self taught cook who loves to collaborate and share with others what I learn and practice. I have created Sacred Community Nourishment because I believe food is a sacred bridge to ourselves, each other, and the earth. Cooking, our relationship to food, and the communities we break bread with are deeply sacred. How I interact with food in my daily life is both practical and magical. When I teach classes, not only do I share techniques, I also teach how to weave magic into the mundane in an effort to improve life. I love gathering with groups and cooking together because as a community we can expand feelings of joy and connection while developing confidence and skills.
