Circle of Security: An online parent program for parents of neurodivergent children
Event description
*Important Update*
This program has been cancelled in light of NDIS changes coming into effect 3 October. See changes detailed here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/change...
Refunds have already been initiated (please allow 2-5 days for Humanitix to finalise). Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
I recognise how unsettling this suite of changes to NDIS may be for the disabled community. In the coming weeks, we’ll likely receive more clarity on how these changes will affect the way we use our current supports.
I am committed to finding new, innovative ways to support our neurodivergent community. Please stay tuned for updates on what's next for Neurocraft, and consider subscribing to my mailing list for further news:https://www.neurocraft.net.au/... or follow me on Facebook or Instagram.
As parents of neurodivergent children (with or without formal diagnosis), it’s common to feel like typical parenting advice and strategies don’t work, or they don’t work consistently.
Circle of Security Parenting is a program rooted in decades of research on building secure parent-child relationships. This 6-week group brings together the existing evidence-base with a neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed lens.
Led by Amy Cheang-Clarke and Selina Peng, two neurodivergent social workers and parents of neurodivergent children. We will create a supportive online space where you can learn, connect, and explore new ways of building secure relationships with your children.
Each session includes educational content alongside opportunities for reflection, practice and discussion.
Registrations close on 2 October at 7pm AWST.
Program structure
Week 1: Understanding your child’s needs
Week 2: Managing emotions
Week 3: The path to security
Week 4: Exploring our struggles
