Circular Communities Scotland Annual Conference 2025
Event description
Join Circular Communities Scotland members and supporters for our 2025 Annual Conference 'Building Capacity for Sustainable Communities'.
Our annual conference is a pivotal event for the circular third sector in Scotland, bringing together key industry representatives, charities and social enterprises involved in reuse, repair and recycling from across the country.
We're delighted to invite you to this once-a-year opportunity to reconnect and network as we celebrate the fantastic work happening in our sector and collaborate on our vision for a more circular economy in Scotland.
We will welcome Gillian Martin, MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action and Energy to officially open the conference and take part in a facilitated Q&A including taking questions from the floor, and we look forward to writer and broadcaster Nicky Marr hosting the conference for us this year.
As always, we have an exciting line up of industry speakers and expert keynotes, diverse and engaging conversational breakout sessions and lots of opportunities to network and speak to exhibitors in The Market Place. In addition, breakfast rolls, lunch, refreshments and a drinks reception are all included in your ticket price.
Learn about our theme: 'Building Capacity for Sustainable Communities'
Our members are already experts in delivering impactful reuse, repair, and recycling initiatives within their communities. This year’s focus on capacity building is about working alongside our membership to strengthen the foundations that allow this vital work to grow — whether that’s through improved funding models, shared skills, peer learning, or increased visibility and influence.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to build collective resilience in the face of economic, social, and environmental pressures, and how we can continue shifting attitudes around overconsumption by embedding circular practices into everyday life across Scotland.
This focus on capacity building reflects a key priority in Circular Communities Scotland’s new strategic plan, and our ongoing commitment to working alongside our members as trusted partners.
