Circular Woodworking, 5 weeks, The Green Space, Sun 4 May -8 June (no class 1 June), 9.30am-12.15pm

Ready to level up your woodworking game? Join The ReCreators' 5-week circular woodworking course with Green Jon!

Get hands-on with jigsaws, drills, sanders, and more tools as you craft functional and beautiful wooden pieces. There is an opportunity to work with upcycled Rimu if desired (for the price of the timber). Sharpen your woodworking and power tool skills while having a blast in this exciting 5 week programme!

Wk 1: Make a Chopping Board/ Planter Box or Plant Stand

Wk 2-3: Make an Outdoor Chair or Bench

Wk4-5: Work on your own project. 

We'll be working with a mix of native and pine wood. We recommend looking at plans from www.anawhite.com for your final project and discussing with Jon between wk 1-3.

Notes:

1. All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!). Some work may be outdoors, please wear a sun hat and sunscreen if outdoors.
2. Wear closed toed shoes and old clothes appropriate for woodworking.
3. Please note children are not able to attend with parents due to health and safety requirements. Teens can come with parents (each purchasing a ticket)
4. You need to arrive at this workshop for the beginning of class and the health and safety briefing to be able to take part in the rest of the class.
5. Bring a water bottle, snack and lunch for yourself.
