CISSA x GMC 2025 Game Jam

Mark your calendars! For the first time ever, CISSA and GMC are collaborating to bring you a competition that’s a little more than just a standard hackathon! Whether you’re completely new to game development or already an indie dev in the making, our Game Jam is the perfect opportunity for you to develop your skill with an engine, compete for prizes, and hear directly from reps straight out of Australia’s own video game industry!

To make things a little more exciting, the actual theme of the competition will be announced at the opening ceremony! Until then, keep your eyes peeled for announcements on our discord server which we’ll be using to both accept and shortlist the options!

All contestants will be welcomed to join us on campus over the weekend for in-person collaboration + receiving feedback! Teams will be able to wrap up their projects in the next few days before judging and community voting start (which means everyone will be able to interact with every submission!)

If you have no experience in game dev, don’t stress! We’ll be hosting workshops leading up to the event that will arm you with all the fundamentals you need to get started! Keep your eyes peeled for announcements in the future!
