Citizen Science Through the Lens: Smart Phone Photography Workshop

This is an interactive workshop built around a series of fun and practical activities that will allow you to understand the features of your Smart Phone camera and improve your nature photography. Your images can then contribute to citizen science apps like iNaturalist.

In this workshop we will cover:

• the features of Smart Phones that can help you take better photos

• the elements that make great flora and fauna imagery

• how to adjust exposure

• reading and using light

• controlling sharpness and focus

• tips and tricks when photographing in nature

• saving images and uploading images to phone apps

This session is Suitable for iPhone and Android and will include a practical component at Eric Singleton Wetlands.
