Highly recommended masterclass
An invaluable experience for me as a guitarist. Claire is a tremendously active and engaged tutor who provided a great amount of musical and technical insight that I could apply to my own playing.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience internationally acclaimed guitarist Claire Angel Bonner up close in the stunning setting of Sandy Bay’s historic Ashfield.
The afternoon will begin at 2:00pm with a presentation on the 19th century guitar, titled "In search of Sor's orchestra: the mysterious sound world of the 19th century guitar."
It focuses on the topic of implied orchestration in the 19th century guitar repertoire. With Claire's approach putting accessibility at the forefront, the concepts in this presentation will be easily understood by listeners with minimal or no musical background and be thought-provoking and stimulating for guitarists who may wish to incorporate them into their own musical practice.
After the presentation each masterclass participant will then have 30-45min each (depending on numbers) with Claire.
Following the masterclass, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a private tour of the beautiful gardens at Ashfield and to share a drink with hosts Rae and Lindsay, and Claire.
Whether you’re a guitar student looking to develop your playing, or simply a lover of great music, this intimate workshop and masterclass offers a rare insight into the artistry, technique and musicianship of an international performer.
Come along, be inspired and discover what’s possible on the classical guitar!
