Description

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience internationally acclaimed guitarist Claire Angel Bonner up close.

The afternoon will begin at 2:00pm with a masterclass for UWA guitar students.

At 5:00pm Claire will give a presentation on the 19th century guitar, titled "In search of Sor's orchestra: the mysterious sound world of the 19th century guitar."

It focuses on the topic of implied orchestration in the 19th century guitar repertoire. With Claire's approach putting accessibility at the forefront, the concepts in this presentation will be easily understood by listeners with minimal or no musical background and be thought-provoking and stimulating for guitarists who may wish to incorporate them into their own musical practice.

Whether you’re a guitar student looking to develop your playing, or simply a lover of great music, this intimate workshop and masterclass offers a rare insight into the artistry, technique and musicianship of an international performer.

Come along, be inspired and discover what’s possible on the classical guitar!

Spectators can register to observe the masterclass for free. Donations are welcome.
