Description

Join singer-songwriter Clare Hudson at Yeronga House for a special intimate house concert fundraiser supporting the Sing Sing Sing Dementia Choir.

Following her sold-out debut show at Brisbane’s iconic venue Can You Keep A Secret, Clare returns with an afternoon of acoustic jazz, soul, and pop, featuring songs from her 2025 headline show Growing Pains.

Originally from Lutruwita (Tasmania), Clare moved to Magandjin (Brisbane) in 2018 to chase her music dreams. Her heartfelt songs explore the highs, lows, and “what the heck” moments of growing up in 21st-century Australia — from Barbie doll experiments gone wrong to moving across the country to BrisVegas.

Backed by the wonderful Dave McGuire on guitar, Clare blends original songs with beloved classics like Feeling Good and Everyone’s Waiting.

This concert raises funds for Sing Sing Sing, a choir that brings joy, connection, and wellbeing to people living with dementia and their carers.

🕓 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
🎟 Tickets starting from $35

✨All profits go to the Sing Sing Sing Dementia Choir

About Yeronga House

Fiona and Steve have worked with Tim Bennetton Architects for a number of years now to renovate their suburban Queenslander. Tim’s hands-on approach to architectural design and detailing, as well as Steve’s expertise in engineering and flood management, have transformed an ordinary post-war cottage and garden into an extraordinary climatically-responsive, suburban sanctuary. The project stands as not just a model for how we might preserve and extend the lifecycle of historical housing stock but how we can breathe life into the natural habitats of our neighbourhoods through better management of our waterways at a backyard scale.

A small footprint extension relieves the spatial pressure felt inside the more prescriptive rooms of the original cottage resulting in an exceptionally versatile studio providing flexible functional space catering for working from home, study, sewing, music and guest accommodation. In keeping the studio autonomous the house proper is largely preserved with the exception of some minor surgery to improve the kitchen/dining room connection and to open the social spaces up to capture breezes. The 22 000 litre underground water tank in the front garden sits under a social courtyard taking advantage of north east breezes in the summer and providing sunny spots to relax in the winter.

Tim Bennetton Architects is delighted to support Clare Hudson and Sing Sing Sing and to share our love for this project with you.
