about the classes:
contemporary technique with darcie - A contemporary class including a mix of floor work, improvisation, and learning some choreography. Darcie focuses on release, body connection, and finding freedom in movement.
contact improvisation with aimee - Through the container of contact improvisation, we will explore rolling points, weight shifting and sharing and how to communicate with and receive information from another body. We will approach these concepts with a sense of playfulness, curiosity and experimentation, with gravity, falling and flying. Contact improvisation allows for an exploration of deep listening to the self in contact with another, and tuning in to layers of somatic information.
creeping cats floor workshop - The Creeping Cat workshop will explore the art of floor dance and flow acrobatics. Participants will learn unique, complex, and exciting tricks, paired with transitional movements to create intriguing combinations.
into the body - These sessions, guided by Ellie Murtagh and Kristen Cafari, draw upon a range of mind-body release practices that cultivate a sense of intention, freedom and exploration of our inner world. Through movement that encourages sensing, listening, feeling and resolving what is being held within our bodies, we create space to be guided back to centre, self awareness and release. Currently in the curious, beginning stages of learning and developing a practice that draws upon methods picked up along the way to regain alignment with our bodies, we seek to foster a deeper understanding of our inner rhythm and embrace the flow of experimental faith. Come as you are, all are welcome.
