3-Day Classical Guitar Spring School with Stu Tyrrell
27–29 September | Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music
Join classical guitarist and educator Stu Tyrrell for a hands-on, performance-focused guitar program for school-aged students. Whether you’re just starting out or already learning, there’s something for you in this engaging three-day event.
Activities include:
🎸 Come and Try Classical Guitar (ages 4+) — beginner-friendly sessions with instruments provided
🎶 Guitar Ensemble — rehearse and perform in a short-term ensemble, building collaborative and reading skills
🤝 Chamber Music Coaching — work in small groups (duos, trios) to refine listening and ensemble techniques
🎤 Guitar Workshop — solo and small-group coaching with feedback and technique sharing
🎓 Classical Guitar Masterclass — performance, presentation, and Q&A open to all
🎼 Final Guitar Concert — showcase what you’ve learned in a public performance featuring solos, ensembles, and a featured performance by Stu Tyrrell
Participants will gain experience in ensemble playing, performance, listening skills, and classical guitar technique in a friendly, supportive environment. The program is open to school-aged students and children aged 4+ for Come and Try sessions.
